Hose pump
DC Environment is one of our country’s largest environmental remediation companies with various soil remediation centres.
Using state-of-the-art techniques, this company purifies soil, groundwater and (soil) air.
The traditional excavation of contaminated soil is also a possible remediation variant.
At one of their sites in Ostend, the customer needed a hose pump or peristaltic pump.
The advantage of this pump is that it can pump thick liquids, in this case sludge.
This viscous substance is impossible to move with centrifugal pumps.
Because such set-ups and sites are always different, a rental pump from Liqson was used to begin with.
Once the set-up had proven its efficacy, DC Environment purchased its own pump.
During the period where maintenance was done on the in-house pump, a temporary pump from Liqson was used again.
This is a great example of where renting can be an advantage. The customer namely does not need to have its own backup pump.
