At Agristo in Wielsbeke, they are expanding their water treatment. For this, they had to relocate their storage tank for FeCl3 at short notice. This obliged them to find a temporary storage solution to cover about three weeks. Liqson was contacted for this and the equipment was delivered and installed quickly with all due care.

Iron(III) chloride
Iron(III) chloride is the salt of trivalent iron and chloride. In water treatment plants, it is used to precipitate phosphates and heavy metals. It is a widely used application in the treatment of wastewater and drinking water. Here, the iron3chloride acts as a flocculant. The chemical compound is highly soluble in water and is yellowish-brown in colour. This liquid is also a basic raw material for the production of PVC. It is a hazardous liquid and must be handled with the necessary safety precautions. Carbon steel or stainless steel is not suitable for the storage of this liquid.
The double-walled GRP tank was used for this project. This tank is specifically designed for storing hazardous chemicals and waste streams. This tank is quick to deploy and easy to use:

To dose the iron(III) chloride, a hose pump and pipes were also provided. As a result, the customer does not have to contact multiple suppliers.
The experienced drivers install the tanks in a safe and well thought-out manner. Upon delivery, a second technician was provided to carry out the installation carefully, but above all, safely.
