MOBILE STORAGE TANK WITH AGITATORS FOR CRUST FORMATION
This company processes precious metals. The storage of these raw materials produces a lot of (sometimes very fine) dust.
Humidification techniques are used to prevent this dust from blowing up. Water with excipients is used for this. In most cases, these excipients are biodegradable and thus not harmful to the environment.
The excipients have a binding function. This means that the excipients cause a crust to form over the “storage heap”. In this way wind has no effect and the dust will not blow away.
In this case, paper cellulose was used. Paper cellulose is relatively cheap and it is people and environmentally friendly.
OPERATION OF A CRUST FORMER:
A “pile” is sprayed with the mixture of paper cellulose and water. The water dries up and the cellulose forms a crust. The solid substance must only be sprayed again after excavation work or heavy rainfall.
This company was looking for a storage tank for the crust former. The liquid settles, so the tank must be fitted with agitators/mixers.
It is important that the tank does not corrode so that no steel residue ends up in the liquid.
SOLUTION:
Liqson offered a storage tank with agitators. All material that comes into contact with the liquid is stainless steel 316. By choosing high-quality materials, the customer can be sure that the liquid retains its quality and that they have a reliable tank.
Liqson installed the desired quick couplings at no extra cost, in this case Perrot coupling for the bottom unloading and Camlock on the filling pipe. A 6" hose was provided for ventilation and overflow.
For the ease of use of people who come into contact with the tank (drivers, operators, etc.), the tank is fitted with a digital level measurement, with a display.
Because we only worked with our own drivers, we also had the opportunity to briefly explain to the customer the operation of the storage tank and points for attention.

By choosing a rental solution this customer has a good overview of the costs, there are no maintenance costs and no investment costs. The rent can always be terminated.
